Clifford B. Bowyer is the creator and author of
The Imperium Saga universe. His novels include the Fall of the
Imperium Trilogy (The Impending Storm, The Changing Tides,
and The Siege of Zoldex), the young adult spin-off series,
The Adventures of Kyria (The Child of Prophecy, The
Awakening, The Mage’s Council, The Shard of Time,
Trapped in Time, Quest for the Shard, and The Apprentice of
Zoldex), and the solo-shot novel Ilfanti and the Orb of
Prophecy.
Bowyer has been a lifelong fan of novels,
comics, and reading. He can always be found with a book in his hand,
and reads a variety of topics and authors. From a very early age, he
used to write short stories in notebooks while traveling, and
entertain family and friends by reading his stories to them.
During his eighth grade school year, Bowyer
wrote his first novel, a western that had been written as a school
project. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience and always wished to
write more over the years. Throughout his education, Bowyer had always
received top honors and marks for his writing, including standardized
exams (GMAT’s) where he scored in the top 5% of the country.
Bowyer has a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from Bryant College, and a Masters Degree in Business
Administration from Babson College. He has held a variety of business
positions including Business Analyst, Project Management, and Business
Continuity, while subsequently working on his first novel on a
part-time basis for six years. During that span, he wrote, researched,
and developed the fantasy world that he had brought to life in his
novels.
The result of his careful planning has been a
richly detailed fantasy world that has received extremely positive
reviews from its initial readers and book reviewers. Bowyer has since
left his prior position and spends his time continuing to work on
future installments of his series.
He also spends time promoting his novels, and
has made appearances at Boston based conventions (Arisia, Boskone,
WorldCon, Super Boston MegaFest, Gaylaxicon, and United FanCon),
ConnectiCon in Hartford, and at Book Expo America in New York where he
autographed his newest release. Bowyer also spends time at local
events, acting as a guest speaker at local schools, participating in
numerous book signings, events, and town festivals, and even donating
time and his books for local school charities.
Bowyer continued to work on his books, creating
additional Imperium Saga storylines, participate on the development of
a d20 RPG game based upon his books, and he has also recently
completed his first non-Imperium Saga novel, Gen-Ops, a
futuristic military and espionage suspense novel. He has also
developed a new company,
Creative Strategists, providing consulting
services to authors and small presses.
